Can a 2.3 take NOS?

just curious if a small shot of nitrous would hurt my engine. If i did install it it would be just to see if i could do it

MM&FF did an article about two years ago on a 2.3L that they installed nitrous on. I think they started out with a 50 or 75 shot and moved up to a 125 shot. They said the bottom end of the 2.3L is practically indestructable. After using the 125 shot a couple of times the motor started loosing compression I believe. You would be okay to use a 50 or even a 75 shot if your tune is right and you don't abuse it.

Yea, they said it couldn't take any shot for very long.. but if it was rebuilt with the turbo pistons, etc. from the turbo 2.3 , then it would hold its ground prefectly..
