My idea of a crate motor to replace my 2.3 ecoboost pictures by mgman75 - Photobucket
I don't go in the v-6 section. Since know nothing about them. I thought everyone here would enjoy seeing. Seen at Ford trailer at NMRA Maurice
1987 ford mustang 2.3l turbo
mods: 1988 t-bird turbocoupe engine w/ IHI turbo & TMIC
recirculation valve fab'd to side of intercooler
merkur xr4ti ecm merkur small vane air meter
custom turbo back exhaust with cat, magnaflow 99 gt tailpipe.
AOD to t-5 swap
ford racing non adjustable quadrant with firewall adjuster
white pony wheels
that see thru block is great. but yea im so hyped about these. v-6 guys are goin nuts. its really sweet read more about it...it has like the flattest torque curve everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. like 2k up 350ftlbs all the way across or something insane like that. i would not be surprised if these end up being an option for mustangs. v-6 guys have been talking about it forever since the old sho and ford guys im pretty sure have been talking about it since its been on the drawing board.
sweet sweet motor.

I loved it. Was able to touch it etc. I would love to put in a fox body. The new Mustang are just too big a car for me. Remember I drive a MG. So any car is big to me. Just look at picture of the engine. A header would do wonders. Maurice
Hay 75 (welder dude) that my friend WOULD BE A BLAST. That motor is rated at like 263HP. My buddy john from humphreys dynowed one at 282. The motor is definately under rated at 263. With some fancy tuning that motor will rock out i would guess at 350+ ponies. That would be a great swap to say the least. Only problem is the lack of donor cars at this point. But it would be nice.
I agree. That is why when I was talking to the Ford man. I wanted one as a crate motor. They had street rod there. My idea was why didn't they put one of them in it. Maurice
