What is the best year turbo engine to go with a 1974 Mustang? Thanks

Best fit? Unless you go with a carbed setup, you're going to have to do some work on the fuel system and add some wiring. And in this case, the carbed versions sucked. You could try it with some aftermarket stuff, but you won't end up with the bang for the buck that the EFI turbo's offer.

I agree. I would say. Aftermarket fuel pump modified to the Mustang II tank. Remember need fuel return line. Then I would say a 86 turbocoupe wiring or Merkur or 2.3 efi Mustang motor before dual plug [dual plug harder to convert]. For a turbo I would leave that for someone smarter than me. Then 87-88 turbocoupe computer and vam. Unless going standalone. Maurice
