i have this 2.3 ltr 92 mustang lx, when im drivin it , it will drop too 500 rpm and sound likes its boggin out reducing the power of the car also, i replaced my spark plugs, air filter , battery cables and fuses, i cant find wats wrong with it.... cant anyone please help

Check fuel pressure. Could be as simple as a fuel filter.

if it's not the fuel check your ecm. thats what mine did when the ecm went bad.

yea except its the icm(ignition control module). with dual plugs the icm goes bad sometimes and it wont fire the secondary plugs on 2 cylinders. same thing happened to me. with the same exact problems.

k so i changed my fuel filter and that wasnt the problem, is there way to clean my ,I C M or something i am broke at the moment. and also where would it be located and look like, thanks

it should be on the drivers side of the engine just behind the alternator. it's a gray box about six or seven inches long and about a half inch thick. as far as cleaning goes i don't think you can do that as it is a sealed unit? the easiest way to see if it's out is to get it read or go to your local O'reillys and borrow one of their readers. the icm costs about $40 when i had to buy one in the summer.

Its the ICM.

Ignition Control Module.

If you find one for $40 bucks, jump on it. itll probably be a aftermarket. the motorcraft is like $175 i think =/

its an electrical piece theres no cleaning it. unless you wanna throw it in the wash and see if it fixes it.(sorry its monday)
