transmission????

i cant figure out what my tranny is,its the stock 4 speed manual in a 85 lx with the 2.3L.i saw that it could be the t-10.is this true or is it something else?

it's not a borg warner it's a german tranny, cant remember the name of it for the life of me.

1987 ford mustang 2.3l turbo
mods: 1988 t-bird turbocoupe engine w/ IHI turbo
88 t/c ecm with large vane air meter
volvo front mount intercooler with explorer radiator
AOD to t-5 swap, 8.8 posi swap with 3:55 gears
ford racing non adjustable quadrant with firewall adjuster
GT front and rear sway bar
walbro 190 lph fuel pump

It is actually the FOG (Ford of Germany) single rail transmission that was used in Pinto's and Mustang II's. It is known as the ET series transmission. It'll hold up behind the four, but is too weak for the V6. Those used NWC T5's.

That's the one with two different shifters right? The Pinto/Bobcat version had a shifter that threaded on and the rest were bolted on similar to a T5.
