Jim, As far as the aux shaft goes it runs the oil pump and the distributor,......now having said that, ALL that's needed is to reset the distributor "timing"
Find the #1 (goes to spark plug #1) tower on the dizzy and rotate the motor to Top Dead Center then pull the dizzy up till the gear disengages and turn the rotor to line up with #1 towers location.
