I have a 79 Stang w. the 2.3 Turbo 2 bbl. I plan on replacing the entire ignition system and a larger carb.

Question is this...im not sure what psi the 79 Turbo ran stock...but would the motor handle a turbo upgrade to about 9-10 psi?. also, would it handle a 75 shot of NOS? The motor only has 81,000 miles as the car sat for a number of years. I'm doing all the normal work that needs to be done now.

i have a 1979 pace car and i have the same problem. There isn't much out there for the 2.3 turbo with a carb if you are going to modify it. Convert it to an svo motor. There is some stuff out there but you really have to dig. Try ford racing parts or tinyavenger.com. If you find anything let me know
