if you're running an electric pump with a carburetor...
well, for one, you're no different than me, I'm running a Purolator Electric pump because I put in a later 2.3 with no mechanical pump provision in the block in my '74 Mustang II.
Second, why do you still have the mechanical pump on the engine? the 2.3 uses the same bolt pattern as the other Ford engines out there, just get a block-off plate so you don't leak oil, and replace the hose running from the carb to the mechanical pump with a longer one to reach your electric. If your car has a return-type fuel syetem you can either cap off or plug the return line to make it returnless (you may need a fuel pressure regulator depending on what electric pump you're running) or install a fuel pressure regulator that is designed for a return-type system and hook up the return hose to it.
