Default Holley Pro-Jection ??'s

Is anyone using or have any experience with the Holley Pro-jection 650cfm 2 barrel EFI conversion? My dad has a 1980 4 banger and I'm interested in getting this setup for him. Any comments and help would be greatly appreciated.

I've only ever heard it used on V8s.

I've got a friend who owns his own shop, been building/repairing cars for years, and says he'll never use the ProJection system again! lol He put it on a customer's Dodge in place of the 2bbl carburetor on their 318, and said that while all the hardware in the system is great stuff, he wouldn't wish the software of that system on his worst enemy.

I've put two of them on Fords and they are a real pain in the butt to tune.

There are lots of upgraded versions about and they may have solved some tuning problems, but research the exact unit/version you are considering.

hi there ive fitted two of these systems on a 302 and a mopar 318 both worked great but it is a pain to set up alot of people run a fuel return line thats to small or restricted with to many bends it needs ti flow well with less than 10psi in the return line. Also they need a relayed battery feed for power and a relayed feed for the fuel pump which is triggered by the ecu . u can udjust overall mixture by turning the fuel pressure regulator down which should be a good starting point for running a 4banger also might be a good idea to get a smaller throtle body maybe the 500cfm model
i have lots more info if you need it.
