Default 84 Svo what to do?

I have an opportunity to buy an 84 SVO for 2 grand. The catch is I have to put it together. Right now I can't force myself to buy it. It will be a ton of work and the car is in green primer still needing work. What do you think I should do? I am originally a V8 guy. I know the guy well that owns it too. I just don't know if I will be happy with it. Can you give me some insite on what I am getting into?

two grand is a lot for a car that has to be assembled. Complete foxes in good shape go for under 3000 around here.

Yeah, but it's an SVO. If you've got the room , the tools, and the inclination, GO FOR IT! The SVO is amongst the cream of the fox crop. I prefer V8s myself, but I'd love to have an SVO, especially because my neighbor is into TurboDodges.

I saw some pictures of it a couple of days ago. It is pretty much stripped. the door glass has to be re-popped rivitted, all the tim is off, it is naked. I can handle engine ,trans, and paint. But I done think I want to build one from the ground up.

When I first saw your post, I thought way too much money for a parts car. I see you've come to your senses! There are much better deals out there. Here's one complete in much better condition for about the same $$$ but it's in Indiana. It sounds like the guy was ready to take $1500! Grab a flight up there and drive it back!
