Doing some fun stuff, huh?

Does your Mustang have Foglights?
I put some on my LX and it really looks cool.
What bodykit did you get? Please don't tell me you got an import pack meant for a Honda!

Hey i Have an 88 Mustang LX 2.3L stock, I am starting off doing the body work, completly all around so i have no rust what so ever, and i been buying some acessories here and there, i started off buying some chrome to put into the car, chrome heater nobs, chrome door switches, and a chrome shifter (auto), but im also going to add some color, i bought a nice red and black racing wheel and nice red and black racing seats, im thinking either i could take out the back seat or keep it in and buy a nice black seat cover for it, other then that i will get a few more accessories and then put in my roll cage and get the body set up nice and then add upgrade to the engine

ok on a white stang here is some food for thought if its a 2.3L

white car black leather interior
full body cage 5 point harnes
cowl hood black raceing stripes crome cobra wheels
disk brakes all around , lower it
do a turbo swap (check out what ford raceing has for some great parts)
drop the auto trans put in a t5& short throw shifter
thats just a few things i can think of

+1 on the disk brakes

I have a 92 and I am trying to custom this is some of what I want:
03-04 mach 1 front seats
Then some sliver or crome interior pieces to match the silver stripe on the mach seats.
tint the windows as dark as legally possible(I hate being eye level with other vehicles)
ground effects
cobra replica wheels(they make them in 4 lugs)
blue led intrument lights
rear seat delete
sound system
custom air intake
euro headlight/taillights
custom crome radiator overflow tank and windshield washer fluid tank(get rid of the plastic)
newer cobra style spoiler(mine has a peeling luggage rack)
try to adapt newer(94^ mustang)mirrors, and door panels
basically I want to personalize eveything aspect of my car....then find a 5.0 or 5.8

Maybe there are some ideas for you....

all of this sounds great, but furst i would worry about getting the engine fixed. that is what i am concentrating on right now. then once its fast i will worry about the interior and all that stuff. but dvd and stuff and subs just sounds like alot of extra weight, which could equal a few feet in a race. but not nocking you guys i have that stuff to just make it easy to take out thats all.

Well the engine is the hardest part to find!! I think I am going to find a turbo motor instead of a 5.8(Unless i find a Lightning 5.8 for a good price before the turbo). Everything else on the list are easily found and bought. With a 4cyl n/a, it is almost pointless to spend more money than necessary, you would spend WAY too much money and have what....100hp. I am all for fast engines, but they have to be worth the money to start with.

On that note....Does anybody know what other head could fit on these motors? My Uncle owns an engine rebuilding shop so I could get everything done very cheap.

Yan Jin. what intrument cluster are you thinking about? I kinda wanted to do the new clusters(05+), but that would cost an arm, leg, baby, and a soul.

Well for me its not all about speed. Alot of people ruin beautiful cars but making them strip only. I think that is a waste. If u want a nice car, it should be drivable. Thats my philosophy. Im not making my car to run down the track till a piston comes through the firewall...or my wheels spin off. Id like to run 11's but id b plenty happy with a 12. I wanna feel good in my car, look good in my car... and when i put the hammer down...she should roar into life and go. Resto modd.

Cars are ment to be driven, not parked. What good is a car that you have to put on a trailer to take anywhere?

I would never, personally. tune a car to the point that it could hurt itself in traffic.

oh yea i was looking at somin like these gauges:

I have recently found a website that has sent me a free catalog of parts all for mustangs. the website is called 50resto.com... this site has alot of parts that would refinish the car. i have started to make a list of things that i need to make mine look good. is it bad to spend all this money when the egnine is just a stock 2.3L.

the best thing to do is take every step one at a time. everything you put on your stang learn from it and learn how it will benifit you and cost you because it would suck to do a bunch of stuff and hve the cal brake down or something like that. i am all about speed for racing and horsepower for drag racing. So....... good luck!!!
