I have a 351 out of a Econoline. I am not sure what type of tranny to use. I was thinking a C6 will bolt right up to it. What automatic tranny can I use. Please help.

Try finding a trans from a 93-95 F150 Lightning. They came with a 351W and E4OD's...heavy duty. I did own a 93 Lightning, and I never had a problem with the trans, or motor for that matter. Of course if you supercharge/turbocharge the motor, you might want something better...like a C6. That is what most racing Gen 1 Lightning owners do. Go to the classifieds at this site and you might find one..or two.
