Ok motorheads i need some help in locating a diagram or manual showing the correct way in how to setup the turbo system on my '79 cobra. the car came with a rebuilt turbo not installed on the car, also i am looking for a header and a short throw shifter for my car. thanks for your help.

The '79's were carbed turbos and had a Funky pipe that ran from the exhaust manifold underneath the engine and up to the turbo. One advantage to that is with a little modification, a shorty header like the factory Ranger deal might work. You don't see many carbed turbo cars anymore. Check over on Turboford.net and maybe even foureyedpride.com for the info you're looking for.

The foureyed guys maybe able to shed some light on your shifter search, but I don't think you're going to find one for that 4 speed. I don't remember short throw shifters being a big thing until the T5 5spd showed up. I hope for your sake I'm wrong.
