the repinning is the easy part!!! I've done that before.. doing the front mount IC is the hard part!! or you could just use the T-birds IC. that'd be the easiest thing to do!!!
i got a 1980 mustang with a carb 2.3l and i wanna change it to a turbo 2.3l...is it possible to do and if so how hard would it be?
It is possible, its easier to use an XR 7 harness, or you could use the 87-89 mustang harness and repine it to work. It is completely do-able, do a search on google

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...
Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster
an xr 7...would that be a cougar?? which would be easier..an xr7 or 87-89 harness and repin it?? and to do a google search what would i look under?? and would it be possible to go to a efi 2.3l turbo?? or would that just be really hard??

Reason: added something
A cougar XR 7 has a separate engine harness I hear, but a 87-89 mustang wiring harness would be easier, remember to get all the wiring, fuel tank, fuel lines, and you should be good, I'm sure evintho will tell you what else you need.
To search google, I would search "converting a carbed mustang to EFI" you might get a load of 5.0's but its the same idea

well i hear that i should stick to a carb...is there a chance that there is a carbed 2.3l turbo that i could just throw in it and do what i gotta do to get that to work...and if there is what extra would i have to do to get that motor to work currectly??
so it would be best to go to a efi turbo then??since my car is a carb. how hard would it be to complete this whole transfer?? and what all will i need to do it??
It wouldn't be to hard to swap it to EFI, mine as well use the whole harness out of the TC since you have to replace it all (this saves repinning also)
Parts you'll need
Engine (duh)
Transmission (duh again)
Wiring harness
87-93 mustang gas tank
8.8 rear end (from the TC)
Fuel lines from a EFI 2.3 mustang
And I think thats it, but I might have missed something, if I did someone chime in

is re pinning truley that easy ??? i have never done something like this before . im dropping an 88 tc motor into a 91 notch and the computer and wiring scares me . is it really that easy ???
