Which Boss are you talking about Because the Boss 302 ws rated at 290 horse power.

the boss 302 was rated at 290 hp. the 85.5 svo is rated at 205hp. I believe the svo is lighter. I would like to see this race...in fact I have mentioned that I would like to see these cars in a race in both the drag and road course. the boss 429 however was probably around 500hp but of course was rated less. the boss 429 would take it in the drag race but probably not the road race. unless it was at elkart lake where there are a lot of long straights.

I found info that said the carbed ones make 88 and 87 to the wheels, How could they make more hp than a fuel injected one?

Because the CARB cools the air coming in (fuel spray) and they have a pretty straight shot into the intake manifold

yes I have a 85 exp turbo coupe. I put a lot of money into the car and now the motor needs work. I am going to rebuild it this spring. I hope. you can see my car at DAVE KINGS CARS warning a lot of pop ups. I love to show that car because no one knows what it is unless they had one or a friend of theirs had one. took it on the hot rod power tour in 04. fun little car and stilll gets 33 mpg....
