Talking would a shift light light up in a stock 2.3l automatic mustang?

hey guyz yeah i have a question would a shift light that is hooked up to my stock tachometer function properly in my stock 2.3l automatic mustang???

a shift light doesn't care what engine/transmission you have, just whether or not you hit the RPM it is set to light up at.

If your car is DIS, you may need an adapter from MSD or Autometer.

1976 Ford Mustang II Ghia: 302 with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Dynomax Blackjack headers, 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster Super 44s. RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").

Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)

100% correct and I do believe the older 2.3L have an external ignition coil so it would be extremely easy to hook up.
