I got the surprise of the month when I recently went to title a 1983 Mustang L. Since I did not have the Kentucky Special form where the sale price has to be notorized ,the county clerk was going to charge me "high book" price on the sale . The high book for a 1983 Mustang L 4-cylinder with air is $5961.00 The new sale price in 1983 was listed at $6377.00
A 1987 GT high book price was over 10K.
Is any Mustangs in good condition going for these prices and how does NADA justify these prices?
