Default riddle me this riddle me that

so i heir that the gears are taller in the 2.3T 5spd than in a t5 out of a 5.0 is this true is it going to matter....

Yes it's true, no it's not really that big of a deal. The change in ratio isn't really enough of an enhancement to offset the reduced power handling if you're running a 5.0

no im not running a 5.0 i have a t5 out of a 5.0 and i want to put it in my 2.3T will it hinder the boost??? because of the shorter ratio??

I don't think it will hinder anything. It depends on what rear gear you're running.

Have you taken care of the input shaft problem? The diameter of the input shaft where the pilot bearing rides is different between the 5.0 and the 2.3 T5s.

i had a 5.0 5spd trans in a 87 2.3 mustang and i thought the gears were a lot better than the fact. 4 cylinder.. i had 2 take the pilot shaft bear. all the way out.

The ratios for the 5.0 T5 Are actually taller not shorter.
