Default 2.3 turbo questions
Okay, i just picked up my '96 ranger with the 2.3 in it with a 5 spd. I want to know what boost level i would be safe with, i have a mitsubishi TE04H off my wrecked shadow. I think max boost is 8psi, would i be safe running that with a external wastegate if i have to?

You are better off doing a Engine Swap. The N/A Don't have the forged Pistons. At 8psi you will melt your pistons. Find A Mustang SVO or A Merkur or T-Bird Turbo Coupe. Good Luck! PS. This is on the sticky. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...aspirated.html

Well my plan was to get forged pistons and rods and have the crank balanced while i have the motor apart.
