what? 2.3 engines are damn near bullet proof, why else they use the same block for like...i donno...30+ years!!!. i know i guy that ran it 180* off timing, i'm running mine now with dead rings and blow back that will fill a balloon. I havent heard of a 2.3 dieing cause its own issue, maybe if the fool forgets oil or redlines it all day.
not saying id put juice on it, but i heard that it can take a couple 80 lbs shots running down the track, on the stock head gasket b popping that off. but personally i wouldnt do that, get a roller cam, port the head and intake, tubular exhaust off the same ranger u took the cam off and ur good for now.
definatly go 2.3 turbo swap, 5.0 is a waste of time
