Yes, but you'll need to use the later dual plug 2.3 block. The 2.5 crank has a smaller main journal than the turbo era 2.3s
search turboford.net for everything you need to know.

What about the 89 & 90 dual plug Ranger blocks? Where they large or small journal cranks?

Nope. Not even huber is making 1000HP and he's running 3L with 28-33? PSI

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

All I said was if you want a 1000hp motor, Esslinger should be able to build it for you or have all the parts for it.

Ummm... sorry but no. If you want a 1000HP 2.3 (stroked, bored, what ever) you'll need a custom head or a folvo conversion at least, hug cam (probably custom) etc

i'm far from a expert when it comes to turbo's but i've heard of people destroking an engine to add more boost, 30 or 40 lbs.

flanders is running 42 PSI on a 2.5L lima block... he has the fastest 1/4 mile time in a turbo ford (lima)
he also made that run running less boost than he normally does...

You can use the older 2.3 turbo blocks. Use the Ranger crank and you just need the spacers for the main jounals, which are available through RW and Essy.
