This is my First post so sorry if I mess up. But I have a 79 Mustang which I got over the summer. The last owner found it in storage and decided to fix it up. Its all original still but he rebuilt the motor and never put the turbo back in. But now I want to put the turbo back into it. But I don't have the original turbo so I was wondering if anyone could help me or point me in the direction of finding a turbo and what parts i need to put it back on. Ill have pictures up soon of the car

congrats on the turbo 2.3,i had a 79 like that back in the day,great car,lots of fun.i will check out the pics when you post them and see if i can find the parts you need....

poss have one on the shelf at my tow yard, if not my buddy might have one from the XR4TI era, which is the same

do you need other parts as well like manifold, piping,etc...

im gonna need turbo, turbo intercooler, headers, wiring, computer.

Pretty much all i have is the motor so i need everything to put the turbo in. But the exhaust i have is a 3' so i should be fine thier

Are you going to stay carb? or are you going to get EFI. (79 is carbed people, not EFI)

I will be staying carb. Probably wouldnt go carb 1. is that i have limited funds 2. since its my daily driver i wouldnt want it to be off the streets for that long. and 3. am i able to go EFI cause since its an older engine?

You need to convert it to EFI (gas tank, fuel lines, wiring, computer, VAM, injectors, intake, exhaust, etc)

Ohhhh ok. Didnt know that lol thanks alot. I dont know much about these cars. Im more of a tuner but im researching about the car. But thanks alot thats helpful.
