Factory boost max. i have no idea really lol. But i do know turbos and you can change alot inside the one you have to make more boost. Yuo can change the trim to make more power plus better intercooler and waste gate and a blow off valve will help alot to make more power for sure

lol well if you order the parts and have them ready to put on and rebuild the turbo you can do it in a days work lol. And its going to be down while changing it anyway. Plus more power and less money slugs are not cheap. You can get the intercooler, wastegate, blow off valve, and change the trim for more power... Then later down the road buy a bigger slug for even more power

Default turbo rebuild

You can get as much boost as you want from the stock turbo. Either rebuild it yourself from parts or just send it out for the day and have a turbo repair shop do it. The last time I had mine rebuilt it was about $400. If you want more power, just have the waste gate recalibrated to not blow until you reach your desired boost. In the past I have had mine to about 21-22 lbs., I believe. That's about as much as the engine can handle on premium pump gas. Anything more than that and you will get too much predet. without a fuel booster. However, I don't know how far you can push it by using a fuel booster before you melt the engine. Hope that helps.

Default turbo problems

Your welcome. You should be able to get more than 12 lbs. from the stock settings. Look for turbo system leaks unless your turbo is so shot it won't turn normally or the blades are broken. Since you say it seems like it can't get out of its own way, you may want to do a tune up and/or check your ignition timing. You can check the timing without a light. Just loosen your dizzy so you can turn it by hand with a little difficulty and advance it a little. Make some short full throttle runs down the street and keep advancing the dizzy until you hear a good amount of predet. Back off the timing a little until you only hear a couple of pings at full throttle in each gear. It will be just about right, then. If this still doesn't seem to do much, check your compressions.

don't run a BOV unless you have a blow through VAM (or car will go PIG rich when you let of the throttle, causing it to stumble and almost die)

Get a rebuilt stock turbo or get a hybrid since its only going to be your DD or I'd tell you to get a holset HX35.

Your car seems to be having the same issues mine is right now with boost, as soon as it comes in the car feels like a slug or its loosing spark? if you figure it out let me know

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster
