Default 1993 Mustang battery dying

Hi I'm new here. I have a 1993 Mustang LX hatchback I brought from my brother at the beginning of the year. I am just starting to have problems with the battery dying. I brought a brand new battery for it yesterday (Jan. 23rd) and it is dead already. I had the same problem with my 1966 Mustang, when I replaced the voltage regulator, the problem was fixed.

Any ideas as to what could be killing this battery?

It very well could be the same thing. The difference between the 93 and the 66 is that the regulator is inside the alternator rather than bolted to the inner fender. Have your alternator tested.

What charge are you getting when the car is idling on the battery? it should be 14.something volts. If you have anything higher or lower you have/might have a bad regulator. Also it could be a short in your system

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

Had 87 with similar problem. The light holder mounted under the hood was not letting the light to go out. Just happened to notice light under car when it got dark. Disconnect it if this is it; as removing bulb will not fix it as the holder is shorted and will still drain battery. Hope this helps.

My mom has the car out of state now, she drove it yesterday when I replaced the battery and it died on her, so she had the alternator replaced. If that was not the problem I will post again. Thanks for all the help.
