Default 1990 mustang bad fuel mileage

My 1990 mustang hasnt been getting that great of miliege ,and iv replaced the spark plugs, new wires, o2 sensor, fuel filter, air filter, tires properly inflated, and cleaned the injectors. still has'nt really changed it,expect got a little more power back. I should be getting over 300 miles on a tank of gas and im only getting around 260-270.
Any advice would be good.

Thanks

I am with you man. 1993 vert auto, new plugs, wires,ICM, o2 sensor, pcv, cone air filter cleaned injectors new oil and fresh smog and I get 220 a tank about 18 mpg half my driving is hwy withe cruise on and not above 65.225/60/15 tires. The speedo is acurate and no codes the engine runs great. the only thing I have not replaced is the exhaust but no problems with it. Only thing I can say is your speedo correct? Lets see what we get here on the board. Jay

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

When was the cat replaced?
How many miles are on the motor?
How long since the last tune up?
How much compression do you have?
Are your tires inflated properly?
Have you changed your driving style?
What is the difference on your engine now since the other fuel mileage test?
Etc?

That's about what I get on both my convertibles. But I figure it's mostly due to a heavy foot on starts, since I get about 28 mpg on a trip.
