Thiss forum is kinda dried up... post your wanted add on TurboFord, you're more likely to find what you're looking for! Or check eBay for a power steering pump assembly the alt mounts on top of the power steering pump assembly...

Are you looking for something else like a pinto or ranger setup?

Yeah Stu, it's too bad our cars haven't captured more attention. They are an awesome platform for experimenting and hot rodding, with amazing parts support in most cases and enormous potential.

I should be able to help with the part request, please send a PM and I'll see what I can do.

It's basically you, me and Maurice, and some other long time members once in awhile... and some newbies here and there on here... TurboFord at least is a little more busy but they usually don't talk about NA cars very much.

Yeah, very true. I like the TF website, but it can get a little hostile at times. I think there are a lot of people who still visit this Forum, but don't post. My "worlds slowest build thread" on here, has almost 10,000 views. I would post more often, but I'm now working 7 days a week, up to 12 hours a day on certain days. BTW, how is your car coming along?

It's driving... still dealing with the random surging and the random stalling when going into gear or in park... just worked on it today with a buddy ordering a new ACT sensor can't change my ECT sensor since I don't have time to drain the radiator...

I suspect your IAC might be going maybe. Is the throttle body nice and clean? Also might want to check the idle speed with the IAC disconnected.

BTW, Rockauto sells the Airtex/Wells IAC for $27 USD. They seem to work OK.

I have that iac currently on the car... It's 3 years old I clean the TB every winter before storage... It's really random hoping the ACT sensor fixing it a little, might be a stuck exhaust valve also just don't have time to remove the manifold

A stuck valve would be very unlikely with your engine I would think. When you disconnect the IAC with the engine fully warmed, what RPM does it idle at?

The basic 2.3 IAC is junk in my thoughts. I have tried several j-yard one's on my car. That being said. I found the Ford Escort one works pretty good. Need the wire plug for it also. That design is also used on alot of other Ford products.
Also could rough idle be a valve or valve spring problems. Unsure how to test for that.
Now to the Author of this thread. Don't forget to check out the Ford Ranger 2.3 mounts. Read they are small but on the other side my save a few pounds and may easier find one.
On the forum being slow. Face it how old is the 2.3 now. I am not finding them in j-yards now because everyone wants the Foxbody for 5.0 conversion. They also want it because of what they weight in drag race app. I have been missing awhile. 60+ hours of work are a challenge. Then my password change caused alot of problems for me. But that is my fault because of work and this old computer. Maurice
