Default Exhaust set-up/ air intake setup

i have two questions lets get down to business 1st question is what kind of size piping would fit for a 2.3 n/a and turbo until i get the turbo motor i want to replace the exhuast and have it done once so that i dont have to replace it when i have my turbo swapped and what would be the cheapest way to do that and the most expensive way to go about it i decided to go with cherry bomb 2nd question if im having the exhaust redone should i also have them put a forced intake on it and what size piping and filter should i get.

P.S i would like to say that i have gotten nothing but awesome and useful information from you guys and apreciate what you all are doing here on the 2.3 site and i like the fast and prompt responses to. u have inspired me to make my car a rice eater i beleive these 2.3's have real potential. good economical and power

cherry bomb put out a whole new line of stuff, not just glasspacks anymore.go to their site and look, they have some good chambered mufflers now.i suggest a chambered muffler, better sound for the 2.3.it is mostly about sound and personal preference, any good chambered muffler will work fine.

you should be able to get a good header for it at low cost, check Flowtech....if not the ranger manifold will work,i would not spend money on any coatings, you can take a dremmell tool and smooth out the runners some though.

If going turbo. 3" . Need a muffler with no restriction. In other can be seen thru. No baffles. The turbo itself is enough restriction. That is my setup. Using Dynomax ultraflow. 2 1/2" over rearend. Next step for me is 3" downpipe. Sound clip of my exhaust.

My 2.3 turbo with straight 2.5" exhaust + cherry bomb turbo muffler

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

For pictures of my build-up on "No Hands" PM me
