Default Exhaust problem

hey guys
i got a 86 mustang lx with the 2.3 non turbo. i want to upgrade my exhaust but i dont know what it will sound like. i dont want it to sound like ricer, i want a V8 sound or close to it. would a glasspack or flowmasters make it better or worst?
thanks!!!!

I heard one with a flowmaster that didn't sound to bad. Nowone who knows the real 5.0 sound will probably mistake you for one though.

I have a cherrybomb, I think, on mine. Doesnt sound too bad, but no real rumble. It is a 2.3 after all. Unless you put one of those sound resonator things on it, it wont sound like a ricer.

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

Is dual exhaust pointless on an inline engine?

In a way but if you split it after the cat its fine. It gives it a cool look if you see dual crome pipes coming out the back. Hell, Honda does on their cars and "trucks" why not on a Mustang!?

Hehe...Thats what my cars previous owner did with my stang. He cut and welded exhaust pipe to it to make a second pipe on the other side. Does look cool as hell and people ask me all the time if I have a 5.0. Well, that is, till I start and rev it.

Definitely go with a 3-chamber Flo-master
