1992 LX mustang, hard start when damp and cold - florida
1992 LX mustang dual-plug DIS engine, it's got a problem where it is hard to start when it's cold and or damp out.
I have changed the coil packs, spark plugs, vacum lines, crankshaft sensor, O2 sensor, ran fuel injector cleaner, and it has a new battery, from some of the reading I have done I was going to move on and replace the ICM (since the tachometer is pegged and the fuses are fine) just seems that this could be the cause, no longer stalls woohoo for that but it just had a bad cold start.
Also the car shakes a bit when the waterpump is engaged but I am aiming to say that the 2.3L is just workin to pump then it being a major problem since I haven't had overheat problems.
Changed the plug wire set, went to Autozone got them to do a computer diagnostic but for some reason the device wasn't working at all it kept restarting so I am just gonna have to take it to some other place most likely.
btw. There are only like 2 grounds right? (1 next to the battery and another connected to the engine block?).

Yea my car has two, one is very large going to the block, the other like 8 gage wire, but a common problem with electrical systems is a bad connection to the battery. Clean the lead posts and maybe buy a new post clamp. I had a similar problem (pulsing lights and hard starts) thought it was the alternator.

Yea, make sure you pull codes. You can go forever just guessing. Maybe even your Ignition Control Module (located on the intake) I think its codes 223,224 so if you pull those that's what it is... You can make a reader with an analog voltmeter an a paperclip or jumperwire...
