im having problems with my 1990 mustang lx the engine light will come on sometimes, then go out, then flicker, and come on and keep doing this in different orders after it warms up, also i've heard it popping (backfiring?) through the throttle body as well as it backfires out the tailpipe (flame and all) i havent looked when it pops through the throttle body to see if there is flame but i would assume so, also it likes to start to idle rough and stall out sometimes, today stalled 5 times :| twice in a row (stalled, i started it, it stalled again) just at idle... any ideas would be greatly appreciated, i picked up new fuel filter so ill try that to see if it helps at all, also it has new plugs and wires... thanks in advance for ANY help.

+1 for the copper... Also find out what codes are stored. Anytime ur check engine light comes on, it leaves a code in the computers memory.

i've tried 19lb injectors there too big, it was great at wot, but try getting the thing to start, just throw the grey 12 pounders back in, grab 4 from the wreckers there cheap, even the non H.O. 5 litres had them grey tops 12lb, yellow 19lb, red 24lb, and can't remember the turbo 35lb colour, either black or brown.(red ones came in the 4.6 f150, and the efi 460 in the pick ups)
