Question How to bump the timing on a 1990 stang

is bumping the timing the same as the v8 ie: turning the distrubutor,timing light. thanks

yes, that is it. try small increments , mine runs great at 14 *

yea thats what my uncle runs w/bottle on his 5.0 im not to used to the 2.3s im more into the 5.0 but i cant afford one so ill try 14 and to disconnect the knock sensor

14 may be to high for a 4 banger try less first.

You will also want to run premium fuel so you dont spark knock. Detonation is the fastest way to tear up an engine.

turbo + 15* timing = WEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yes its the same as the 5.Oh

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

how do u adjust the timing? is there like a bolt or something???
