Is upgrading the alternator a good idea on a 90 2.3l lx? It just seems my alternator doesnt provide enough juice. Especially when its raining; wipers, headlights, turn signal, stereo, and electric fan just about drain the battery (not to mention if your using the a/c).

A G3 alt upgrade would work great for you. Search it, you should find a thread in the 5.0 section

Go to the PAperfomance website. They have everything you need for a drop-in install with no muss or fuss. You will get a warrantee on the alternator, and they offer powdercoating in different colors as well. They also offer the pigtail/8 gauge with inline fuse kits too.

eBay is ok for certain stuff, but when it comes to the potential of an electrical fire that can wipe out the whole car.....I will not be cheap.
