i was lookin around my recently bought 89 lx and i noticed that the two door panel speakers were taken out, i was just wonderin if they were taken out purposely in order to make it sound better or were stolen er something

Yeah I was wondering that too in my car. Bought a whole new system to find out that all my new speakers that came with it dont fit first off and second off then there's not any speakers in the doors at all. And I noticed now that since there's nothing there, that cold PA air finds it way up through there to make it feel even more cold.

Only cars with the premium sound option actually had speakers in the doors. Otherwise, it was just left open.

yeah your just going to have to route the speaker wires through the door wire loom and them hook them up. I did this and put 2 rockford fosgates in. I had to drill the holes to mount the speakers though

my doors were blank too, but the factory wires were there.

ohhh i see now it was more of an option i guess, right on i'll probly end up putting some 15's in there er something haha, oh and without em it does make a weird cold draft up your legs especially if your wearin shorts

I didnt realize it was an option. I had speakers in my doors when I bought the car.
