hey i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix power locks because my car has power everything windows locks and mirrors everything works except when i push the button for my locks it is like a it doesnt engage the motor doesnt even try to lock or unlock the doors and its on both sides when i bought it they worked twice then just stoped working like that

First I would check if there's power going to the switch, a simple test light would work. If there is power going to the switch, then the switch could be bad. If the switch is good, maybe a bad fuse, or a ground problem. Could be a number of things, but I'd start witht he switch, probably the easiest way to start.

well ill trie those thing but i also heard that something links both together because both went out at the same time

it was some small peice that was like two bucks and a quick fix why do they make cheap plastic things at ford

What $2 piece was it? My locks aren't working either. There's power going to them, I can hear it moving but it's just not pushing the door lock up.

And it's on both sides for mine, driver and passenger.

i dont remember the part but its a part that connects the two together and makes them work at the same time i could also be your motors

i've always had bad luck with the switches, if you can hear them moving in the door youre going to have to pull the panel off, also, i've had water get into one of my harnesses under the dash and rott out the wires to the door.you could always do what i did and get a 5 button keyless entry from a 88 ish lincoln and wire it in. but you have to cut a hole in your car.

this is a pic of my first stang i put it in, decieded to put it in the body cause i only needed 1-1/2 feet of wires to reach the module in the trunk, if i put it in the door the 6 wires would be realy long. i've put the same thing in all 3 of my stangs in the same spot. as you can see this car was sideswiped and went bye-bye!
