Cool Please Give Me Ideas? 1991 Mustang LX

I have a 91 mustang LX 2.3L I am trying to get her fixed up but i do not know where to begin or how to do it??!!?? If anyone has ideas on where i need to start please please hook me up with the details. i do not know if i should start with the body or the motor i have some work done to the motor and i am sure that i could do more!! let me know thanks!!!!

Not sure what your budget is or what mechanical skills/tools you have but there is a lot that can be done with the 2.3L. If you're looking to keep the car looking nice, I would address any rust before it gets bad. As for engine modifications, your car already has a roller cam from the factory. You can upgrade to a slightly hotter cam for more performance. If you have an automatic, you can get shift improver kits for the A4LD automatic. Some people claim that removing the EGR system adds power. While this is true, you must also then disconnect the knock sensor (or it will sense the knock and pull the timing back). Once you have done all of that, if you don't run premium fuel, the car will detonate and knock pretty badly.

What do you want from a car? good gas mileage or a fun driver?

Also 91+ don't have knock sensors

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

Put in the Shelby Super Snake motor and call it a day.

ok well i know that the ac was taken out and cold air intake lot of the vacuum hoses have been replaced. if you check out my profile you will see some of what has been done (MINUS THE AC ) . My husband does all the work so i am not really sure to the extent!!LOL
