Default What is a good exhaust system for a 2.3 N/A

Hi I was wondering what a good exhaust system would be for my 2.3. I can't seem to find any for a 2.3 but yet I've seen people with a magnaflow exhuast system? So if you could tell me where to buy and how much it and the name It would be greatly apperciated. Thanks

i suggest getting the magnaflow muffler and your choice of tip and having an exhaust shop fab up for you.

get a header from a 94 ranger have it ceramic coated (reduces temp) full 2.25 piping, and a 40 series muffler from flowmasters and turn it down right before the axle

if you dual it then put the muffler before the y pipe vs two mufflers after the y pipe becuase unequel pressure and sound

If you really want to spend some dough, but have a good sounding 2.3. Buy a Header, and have shop connect the headers from cylinders 1 and 4 together, and 2 and 4, then you can do dual exhaust and have a NON Monotone four cylinder. Ive seen it done on an Inline six, and it will sound good on a 2.3.

By the way, 2.25 is a good size to go with if your staying NA.

Do not buy a ranger header!
Go to racer walch and get a real header 187 bucks.
Ceramic coat will help corrosion on a NA 2.3 but you will not see any noticeable gains.
Do not open the exhaust to much the will reduce torque NA engines require back pressure! Try a 2 1/4 single type exhaust and turn down after the axle unless you like to breath carbon dioxide.
