small business here in need of part
i cannot find it anywhere
ford says its obsolete
i need the backing plate of the 2.3 with automatic trans
i can be reached at 290 5289

Did you try Racer Walsh? They seem to have just about everything for a 2.3.

Try these places. Canfield has all kinds of stuff, and Hanlon is a transmission specific place that will be more reasonable than RW (IMO). If they can't help you, they can tell you who can.
