Do 1993 2.3's have a knock sensor? If so then is this it? it has four red things on the inside of it and alot of vibrations have stopped in my car when i disconnected it.

Yes they do. Check out this diagram, it shows you the knock sensor location. I can't really tell but I'm pretty sure what you have circled in your picture is a male to female wire connection. The knock sensor will always be directly attached to the motor or intake manifold.

after a certain year they stopped putting the knock sensor on the 2.3 my 1991 2.3 doesnt have a knock sensor

I think it is attached to the intake but not directly. Theres a plate between them

That's not a knock sensor. That's a plug for part of the wiring harness. The dual plug (91-93)motors did not have knock sensors.

Arite. know my my mustang has a really rough idle. Sometimes it will drop then come back up. Is there a vaccuum leak somewhere? if there is where do i look first?
