rivets are where the handle meets the door they are the 2 silver circles, get a punch and make a centering hole and drill them out carful not to hit the glass when the drill bit goes through the rivet
If you want a nice set of chrome ones you can go to the junkyard find a 80's Crown Vic and take those there all metal so don't have to worry about breaking them
i had trouble with mine breaking too. just make sure to replace the other one as well. when my driver side broke i replaced it and didnt do the other one and sure enough 2 weeks later my buddy got in the passenger side and snap there went the other one. oh ya dont hit the glass when you are drilling those rivs i imagine it would be a pain to deal with.
I replaced mine not too long ago, it was pretty easy, but I used a vise grips to snap the rivets off. My drill battery was dead and I was impatient. The Handle kit that I bought came with bolts. the whole process from start to finish took about 30 minutes.
