Have an 88 Mustang LX and it has always had to have the vent or AC on in the warmer months to keep the engine cool. Is there something I can do to correct this or is this inheritant with the Mustangs?

PS.. thanks for the help on the timing belt it went on and as some of you had said the valves were ok..

change your thermostat flush your radiator in the summer keep your heater on and run straight water no coolant

sounds like a circuit went bad or somthing the only thing i can think of is that when you turn on your ac your fan kicks on so maybe the relay that makes your fan turn on when your ac is of is bad.

Thanks for the follow up, that is what I was thingking a short.. but didn't know if this was standard for the stangs, I take it yours does not do this?
