if anyone knows the part number for a stock r-12 a/c ompressor for a 1979 mustang 2.3L turboed motor i would appreciate the information.

Can't help you with a part #, but if you're looking to replace it try a rebiuilt unit at the auto parts store or a used one on Ebay. There would be no difference between a turbo and non turbo a/c compressor. You just have to know if it was factory air or dealer installed.
