Default 1992-93 2.3 NA Cam options

So i was reading through many of the N/A 2.3 performance posts including the 12 page sticky. I have decided what mods i want to do the only thing is that even though it was mentioned many times, i never saw a point were anyone really mentioned a good cam to get. My concept for the engine is a custom intake with scoop, full exhaust, tube header, SAFC NEO fuel computer (for tuning of fuel curve) and a nice street cam.

i also should specify that it is a 1993 LX hatch with a 2.3L N/A - i read somewhere that the engine changed a bit in 92, and it does have the MAF on it.

I can't remember if Ford had already put the ranger roller in your engine at that point but if they didn't that's an option. Try some performance web sites like summit racing or jegs they have them. I'm in the process of camming my 78 2.3 now.

The 91-93 2.3 cars had the roller cam from the factory. Crane has a decent roller that I've been looking at for some time. It's very similar to the FMS- A237 cam in lift and duration, the valve timing is moved 2 degrees and that's about the only difference I can see.

You can use the factory roller followers, but may need a better set of valve springs than stock.

i guess i might just be asking the wrong question. As i search through the list i have found now, im still a bit lost. This is my first mustang build, my last couple were RX-7 rotary builds and some honda builds. The thing about it is that hondas just tel you what to expect from there cam sets, and rotary doesnt have any cams. I dont know the numbers exactly but thats why im still looking. It tells me the durations and lift, ect - but i dont know were my stock one sits.

I have pulled engines apart and done swaps that shouldnt be done but im not so good with these lil numbers. thanks in advance for any and all help.
