Default shaved head and cam??

who here has done this??
I was introduced to a guy who buils 2.3 to race on dirt tracks, and he sais he's getting 200 plus power with this mod. but he is also using a carb and running gas that cost way too much!! 114 oct.

so he said use a 105 lift cam?? shave the head 100th of an inch.. and also mentioned a new cpu??? that is availible and can be
re-programed, and one would have a little mo go???


thought any one??

sign me up oh and by the way ive never seen 114 octane at a gas station the highest i have seen is 103 octane and that is for my 2 stroke yamaha yz 85

114 is what he said?? I have heard he builds the best around here!!!

but there's a guy in spartinburg that is the best around!!! his name is Richard somethig?? I forgot his last name..

but what octane must one use if you shave the head a little??

I'm still choking on the 105 lift cam. Either you heard wrong, or he's figured out a way to make big power with 25-30% of the valve lift the factory needed.

he said he has zero clearance...he said he was going to take it to the strip to run it?? he is getting ready to do his sons mustang, I told him I'd get back with him to see what power was added...

You're missing it.

.105 lift is next to nothing. The stock cam is somewhere around .400 lift.

Also milling the head 1/100th of an inch is a good cleanup grind. That's .010 Enough to make a good mating surface.

Like I said earlier, I think might have misheard this guy.
