Default speedo correction question
hey guys i have a 90 lx hatchback 2.3 n/a pretty much stock i wunt toput 3.73 gears or maybe 4.11 what would i need for the speedomoter to be correct if anything at all oh its a 5 speed thanks

Hi. I was wondering if you made your rear seat delete or built it at home? im building one currently and saw the one on FMR for 300. Do you have a pic of it?

no it was built for me i dont currently have a pic up yet but soon i will yeah it was 300 at mustang-rear-seat-delete.com pretty basic didnt lose much wieght just looks great

im pruty sure that the speed cable runs form tranny speed not the rear axle.

i saw one at fox body restoration for 295 plus shipping and it was to much for me.
I simply traced my hatch area carpet and cut up some wood. made a cardboard template for where the rear seats were and screwed it together. Just trying to find some cheap crystal blue ford carpet to complete it.
Hate my city theres no real junkyards just auto wreckers that resell parts and wont let you cruise the lots.

If you change the rear gear ratio, you're going to affect your speedometer accuracy and you'll most likely need to change the speedometer's driven gear located on the end of the cable at the transmission.

Calculators

The calculator on the right is the one you need.

A quick google search for "speedo gear correction" will give you all the tech behind "why"
