ok i may be the egr it may not but if you look towards the back of your engine bay that is were it is to clean it take some coke or some degreser and run it threw there make sure not to get any on the electric parts or you will need a new one for $80 also make sure to get a new gasket for it only $2 clean the inside throuly try to get rid of as much carbon build up as possible. another thing you should try is run some octane booster or 93 octane threw your engine to burn off some of the carbon build up in your engine will make the car run a little better if it hasnt been cleaned in a while.

Hi and welcome!

I would deffinately give the car a good tune up to start (plugs, fuel filter, pcv, ect ect) and make sure you check for any vacuum leaks.
Is the car throwing any codes?

Check your fuel rail pressure-your regulator may be holding the pressure too high.

I dont think your supposed to clean the MAF with carb cleaner. Its too much of an abbrasive chemical. There is a MAF cleaner or an electrical cleaner out there that you can buy.

If its still smoking, it could be running really rich or burning oil. Are you losing any oil? And is your timing right? Any codes?

Seafoam. lol.

Seafoam may help you clean out the carbon. All you have to do is run it through a vacum line, like the brake booster.

I like the stuff. It will pour out smoke though as its cleaning out your engine.

Did you ever check your Fuel Pressure or your FPR?

Still sounds like your running super rich if its black smoke.
