I don't think that's all there is to it. The dual-plug system raises the hp. The roller cam just happens to be part of it.

I put one in my 86 capri and noticed a few things. Not only did it run MUCH smoother, but it revved slightly quicker, the oil came out cleaner at changes, and it seemed to have just a hare more power.

Only car worth mentioning here- 1986 Mercury Capri.

wellyes i did leave that out the dual plug head was also fords way of burning the fuel more efficient. but ford american you have the cam in your car i believe they started putting them in the mustangs in 91' along with the MAF whitch was also part of the hp gain

I have a 93 LX Dual plug the Ranger cam is no different at least that you would notice.
There are real cams all over ebay Predator mostly and a header from Racer walch are probably the best improvements you can do these might get you to 130 to 135 hp

no way that you will get up to 135hp from just a header plus you will have to change your exhuast becuase the header from racer walsh is a long tube, which means you will have to remove your cats or change your hole exhuast system. and ofcourse you will not notice the difference in the cam's you already have it in your car. most of the aftermarket cams have power bands from 3500-6000 rpms

I wouldnt say you have to or want to change the lifters and followers. I put a stage 2 Ford Racing cam in my 2.3, never changed the followers or anything, just broke it in, and changed the oil.

Also as a tip, if your gonna change your cam, to remove the followers, get a relativitly big flat head screwdriver, remove the followers, and make sure you put the followers back into the same places you removed them from. Good Luck, and have fun, cams are fun and make some power.
