 1990 2.3L starter problems?
I have a 1990 2.3L mustang. On friday I went out to my car which was parked in the driveway and it wouldnt start. I noticed that the alarm was going off. I assume this is the alarm, its the little light on the drivers side of the car by the steering wheel, i have had it go off before, like a year ago when i tried to jump start the car. My horn does not work anymore so the horn sound was not going off but this light was blinking. I tried for an hour to jump start it with no luck, I then pushed it and started it by popping the clutch. When I turned it off it wouldnt start again. but when I pushed it, it started just fine. I figured this was a starter problem so i pulled the starter off the car, took it to autozone and they tested it. The machine could not even make the gear spin. I bought i new one, put it in and it drove just fine. I drove the car about 100 miles this weekend, with it starting fine everytime ( and the light was no longer blinking) and then this morning i went out to start the car, and it wont start again, no clicking noise like its trying to start or anything. All the lights are strong, the battery is fine. But the light is going off again. I have no idea what this could be... |
