Has anybody thought of putting a 2.3 duratec out of a ranger in to a Mustang. With high gas prices this looks like a good way of getting some more power in my 91 lx. I can get a 94 with the trany and wiring with the cpu for $1600 cdn it has 117 km on it.

Wiring and building motor mounts etc would be the big skill. Me I am trying to fiqure a SHO in a 93 vert.

The 1994 Ranger 2.3 is no different than any other DIS 2.3 except for possibly the roller camshaft.

Ford didn't start using the Duratec 2.3 until 2001.

The '94 Ranger motor is the same as the motor in the '91 Mustang. The only major differences are accessory location and EGR plumbing, and the tubular exhaust manifold.

If it's a manual trans, the trans won't work with the Mustang. That's the POS Mazda 5spd trans.
