Default 2.5 supercharged stroker?

I came up with a plan for my 2.3 and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice ( difficulty, reliabilty, issues I might have, if you think it's a good idea, etc.). I was going to get a 2.5 crank shaft with the spacers and caps I would need. A set of 5.7 rods from esslinger and bore it .030 over with forged pistons. I found a vortech supercharger that is made for 1.6 to 4.0 high reving engines. I was going to fab a bracket to mount it and do the pipe myself. If you could give me your opinon it would be much appericated ( sorry for the long thread) Thanks

Superchargers take power away to make power. Is there any reason you dont want a turbo?? I just think that superchargers are Inefficient on four cylinders.

If you can do it, it would be cool and different.

That's exactly why I wanted too because it's different. I was think a super because I just always liked the whine of a supercharger and as before it's not very common (if it's every been done) and you get boost all through the rpm band no turbo lag

Sounds like it would be cool! Always wanted to have a HUGE displacement 4-cylinder. No chance of going all the way up to 2.7?

I would rather have a supercharger then a turbo due to the torque off the line then having to wait for the turbo to spool up. Also the Turbo sends hot air back into the motor which isnt good for it. A supercharger can produce cold air from a cold air kit without having to re-expend hot air into the engine. For every degree colder you can put into your engine you can gain roughly 1HP.

but goodluck on the fab for the piping and bracket. I think it would be a good idea. Take some pics in the process
