1991 2.3 Broke down out of town please help I need to leave for home on sunday night, any info is greatly appriciated. I took the car on about a 4 hour drive on thursday. About 5 minutes before my exit my check engine light came on but it didnt act up on the interstate. The car died on the off ramp of my exit. It did not want to stay running and I could not get the rpm's very high. When I got where I was going the car would start and run fine for a few minutes then chug out and die. The longer I would let the car sit, The longer it would stay running before it died. I unplugged the O2 sensor, same thing, the mass air, same thing, pulled the air filter, same thing. Today it is a little colder outside and I let the car idle for about 10 mins and it was fine. Then I drove around the block about six times and got my rpms as high as 4,000. The car has 1/4 tank of fuel. The car today wont act up. Any thoughts and suggestions would be great, ThaNKS
